Sonora is one the oldest surviving wheat varieties in North America. It is originally from the Capay region where it thrives, producing healthy grain. This soft heritage wheat has a wonderful flavor and can be used for breads, tortillas, cakes, and pastries.
Grown organically by Fritz Durst in Capay, CA.
Fritz Durst is a sixth-generation farmer in the Sacramento Valley. His farming practices are low-till, soil health and conservation.
