Soft White Winter Wheat | Variety: Sonora

Sonora is one the oldest surviving wheat varieties in North America. It is originally from the Capay region where it thrives, producing healthy grain. This soft heritage wheat has a wonderful flavor and can be used for breads, tortillas, cakes, and pastries.

Grown organically by Fritz Durst in Capay, CA.

Fritz Durst is a sixth-generation farmer in the Sacramento Valley. His farming practices are low-till, soil health and conservation.

Protein: 9.27%. At Community Grains, we are learning that protein percentage does not equal protein function. It starts with the quality of the soil.

100% Whole Grain, Certified Kosher, Non-GMO, Vegetarian
