Retail Flour Update
Dear Community Grains Customers,
We've had a lot of folks reaching out the past few weeks about the absence of retail flour on our online store. We greatly appreciate the inquiries and feedback we've received and ultimately feel its best to address the situation on our website so we can keep everyone informed.
For the time being we're discontinuing the sale of our 4lb retail flour bags. This includes both our Patwin White Winter Wheat flour and our Summit Red Wheat flour. We've made the difficult decision to reallocate our flour supplies towards a new line of wholesale added-value products. While this is an exciting new journey for our business we recognize the impact it has upon all of the home bakers in our customer base who have grown to appreciate and rely upon our products.Â
What we can offer going forward is the continued sale of both our Patwin and Summit Wheat Kernels. If any customers are interested in diving deeper into whole grains this is an excellent opportunity to learn the craft of milling flour. We can recommend a number of compact home mills, our current favorites are made by the german company Komo.
In the future we do hope to reintroduce retail flour to our store. We'll be sure to reach out and update you all when we have more information. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and thank you for supporting small businesses.
Sincerely,
The Community Grains Team

Hello Community Grains,
I have enjoyed your organic spaghetti I bought from Whole Foods on Blossom Hill road San Jose. This spaghetti is thin made from Hard Amber Durum ( Mildest Flavor)
Grown by Full Belly Farm in Guinda, CA
Reason I am writing is Whole Foods doesn’t
carry this particular Senatore Cappelli milled in Woodland, CA
Batch number 0387A106
I will appreciate any information regarding this product. Also please let me know if I can purchase on line.
Thank you,
Niru Lathigara

Thank you for letting us know. I heard things, so knowing is appreciated. Gonna miss that flour but will try the kernels.
Thanks for letting us know about the flour. Sad day indeed. Our Slow Food chapter used your flour for our events and will miss it.
